This project is about creating in inspiring learming environment within tight bugetry constraints, a harsh climate, limited access to power and materials, and in the highest category earthquake zone.
The site is situated in a beautiful part of rural nepal and opens out to spectacular views to the south-west and south-east, ignored by the existing arrangement. Four new teaching rooms are grouped into two blocks, connected with a pergola. Each room is carefully positioned with regard to the topograpghy and existing trees to access a shaded ‘garden room’ overlooking the views.
